What is a backlog? How should teams prioritize feature requests? What is the most efficient way to conduct grooming?

A backlog is a list of new features, updates, bug fixes, etc. that have not been addressed. Product leads are responsible for prioritizing items in the backlog according to your customer’s needs and determining alignment with your product’s end vision and goals.

There are a few steps to successfully conduct good grooming:

  1. Remove outdated items and add new ones
  2. Prioritize features and be concise about the product scope (link to PRD)
  3. Break down project into smaller, actionable items (link to agile product development)
  4. Identify roadblocks and minimize risks
