Everyone can do with some more resources for product management, and that’s why we’re launching our new series on Top Product Management Resources. This week, let’s discuss some of our favourite product management blogs and how they can help you.
The Silicon Valley Product Group (SVPG) was founded by Marty Cagan to share the knowledge of tech industry leaders to others. Its Insights blog features articles on product management, including process, data science and product strategy as well as featuring workshops and other similar events.
The SVPG Insights blog is a great resource for product managers looking to broaden their skills or stay up to date with the industry. It has both regular contributors and guest bloggers to give you a diverse array of articles, meaning you can find something for companies of all sizes.

Hacker Noon is a great Medium blog for engineers, product managers and UX designers. On their blog you can find resources on everything from product management, development and product marketing.
The Review is a blog hosted by First Round Capital to share articles on and for startups; in their words, it was meant as the Harvard Business Review for startups. Articles are written by startup experts themselves, so you’re learning from people with firsthand experience in their industries. The Review can help everyone from founders, marketers, investors and product managers on everything from networking and fundraising to building connections with your team.
Intercom has some of the greatest resources for product managers--they’re even the ones who came up with the RICE Prioritization model we love. Their blog, Inside Intercom, is another great source for product managers who want to learn more about building their product. You can find articles on anything from Customer Support to Sales and Marketing to Product Management, especially for startups. There’s something for every type of product manager there.
Product Collective offers a great community for project managers, and their blog covers almost every topic around project management you can think of, from product ideation and differentiation to user onboarding software. But it’s not only a great resource--it’s also a great way to find like-minded people to connect with.
Roman Pichler’s blog is one of the best and widest resources for project managers. His articles cover everything from Scrum and Agile practices to building roadmaps and improving user experience. Here at UserVitals, we’ve found a lot of his content inspiring. Even better, his blog is easy to search, meaning you can easily find a wide variety of information on whatever topic you’re looking for.
Product School is a great resource for anyone involved in building a product. They offer many resources for those in the industry, including courses and certificates that can help you excel in your industry. But they also run a blog with a lot of helpful resources to help you become a better product manager. They have tons of articles on everything from project management templates to case studies to industry trends, so there’s something for everyone.
Finally, we’re going to add our own blog onto the list. We’re always looking to expand our knowledge base and we want to share it with you along the way.
So far, we’ve discussed everything from project management skills to how to collect customer feedback to creating and managing roadmaps and changelogs. Check out the rest of our blog and stay tuned for more posts on project management resources.
