Zapier lets you connect UserVitals to 2,000+ other web services. Automated connections called Zaps, set up in minutes with no coding, can automate your day-to-day tasks and build workflows between apps that otherwise wouldn't be possible.
Visit https://zapier.com/ and log in or create an account.
Once logged in, click My Apps (found on the left panel) and then click Custom integrations.
To add the UserVitals integration, click Add connection and search for UserVitals.
After clicking on the UserVitals result above, you will be asked to enter an API Key, Email, and API Location.
You can generate an API key by visiting the admin portal's settings page and clicking API. Here, name your API key however you would like (e.g. Zapier, Zapier Integration, etc), and click Add. Then copy the newly generated identifier and paste it into the Zapier setup page.
After filling out the 3 fields and clicking Yes, Continue, you will see that UserVitals has been added to your custom integrations.
Click Create Zap to add a Zap between UserVitals and one of your team's existing tools.
Each Zap has one app as the Trigger, where your information comes from and which causes one or more Actions in other apps, where your data gets sent automatically.
As of now, there are 5 triggers that can be activated by users to automate their workflows. Users can customize the following triggers to generate actions in other partner applications.
The triggers currently available are:
For example, users can set up a Zap that sends an email notification to admins when a new story is created in the admin portal. This would make it easy for admins to stay up to date on the big picture and progress of feedback submissions.
Additionally, there are 3 actions that can be configured to take place when a trigger is fired from partner apps. Users can choose events that happen on partner integration, and link it to an action in UserVitals.
The actions currently available are:
For example, users can set up a Zap that creates a new inbox message whenever emails are sent to feedback@acme.com. This further streamlines feedback collection, on top of UserVitals' existing feedback collection methods such as the customer portal and Chrome extension.
